Flower quilt flimsy finished

The flower quilt flimsy is now done.   The pattern called it “rose” but Sally said it looked like crocus and I agreed.   I cleared off the ironing board and the cutting table to get the room that I needed to cut the boards.   I have no idea why I made this queen size, but it is.   I had no plan when I started, I just wanted to make the pretty flowers.   And so piecing happens.

It is now on a hanger in the closet complete with binding until it tells me how to quilt it.

Into my mail account this appeared today.   It is an absolutely must read.   This woman never has a mess in her sewing room.   Unbelievable!   Go look at her system.   Maybe she just needs a larger room so she doesn’t have to be so tidy, but I don’t think even that would change her.

Now I’m off to read a book I found on the shelf  “Time Management”   I obviously need some help in that department to get done what I plan.

  1. I LOVE when I get to the point of having a flimsy all ready to quilt! It’s the best feeling!
I read that article – I know she’d faint if she ever walked into my sewing space – there are piles all over the floor and on the tables – partly because I’m usually working on a few things at one time. I often sew until I HAVE to quit, so there’s no time built into my schedule to tidy things up every day – and think of all the time I’d use up putting things away, only to have to get them all out again tomorrow…
