I ended up quilting this more densely than usual. It is a crocodile pattern to go with the fishing flannel on the back. I didn’t realize how dense it would be. However, it is okay and it is a finished product.
Then I thought I’m make a pumpkin potholder. Does anyone know how to put bias around a potholder so it looks good? Sally – is there a big secret to this. I’m tossing this one on which I practiced. It is very sad.
Nice quilt!
Your quilt is really nice! And I’ve never done a pot holder (OMG! I barely cook!) but Vic has a tutorial here

Good luck!
Hi, Sharon! I am catching up on your blog. We were in New England for a week and I just read this post. What kind of bias did you use for your potholder? I generally use self-made double fold bias left over from placemats. Here is a blog entry that demonstrates the method I use but I use a small 3 step zz with invisible thread and stitch from the top to secure the binding: http://whip-stitch.com/tutorial-bias-edge-pot-holder/
