Free socks

IMG_4577

Some visiting and driving gave me just enough time to finish these.   I used leftovers from 4 different pair of socks.  So really, it became a free summer pair.

Thank you – I mostly make winter socks, so they will be fun. Have you made any like this?

Cute footie socks. You must have done them two at a time to make them match so well. I’m looking forward to trying some socks with leftover yarn scraps too. Did you follow a particular pattern.

Thank you – I do all my socks on two circular needles. Otherwise they would always be different sizes. So yes, they are done two at a time. I just did a one inch cuff of 2k, 2p on 64 stitches and then started the heel. Nothing fancy as it is all in the shoe, or sandal or whatever you’re wearing.

Love them. I did my first leftover socks a couple of months ago and have another pair on the needles now. I had such a good time picking up a different yarn and adding to the socks that I want to do a bunch more.

Send me a photo. I see quite a number of these in both yours and my future. And that also means fewer mini skeins of leftovers. I love doing these and have another pair started, but I think there may be enough yarn left to do a summer pair without adding another yarn.
