Denim socks

IMG_4134

I am very happy with how fast these socks are knitting up.  This is a  K6, P2 pattern.   I have just picked up the gusset stitches, so maybe another week will see them done.    However, this is the first time I have run into a situation where I cannot find the repeat on the other skein of yarn.  Both have the same lot number.   At first I thought one was just put in the skein backwards, but no, I don’t think that is it.   Do any of you see where one sock pattern is repeated on the other sock in either direction?

The repeats are large and I do think they are reversed, the balls were wrapped opposite. I think the middle of the top sock has a repeat in the lower sock in the section just above the heel flap, if that makes sense. Can you tell by looking at the twist of the yarn? Is opposite the other?

All three of you are right – thank you so very much. They will just have to be cousins as they aren’t going to get unraveled. But tell me why the company couldn’t have been consistent. They sell them to make a pair PAIR of socks. Thanks for finding the repeat.

Love the yarn I have had that same experience where one skein was wound opposite the other. Or I have managed to find the repeat pattern only to come to a knot in the yarn and there goes the repeat
    have a great weekend

I agree. They are opposite; if you turn the lower sock around, I think you’ll see it. (See Sally’s comment.)
