A good friend decided that knitting is definitely not for her. She started this sock years ago. Last week she gave it to me along with the instructions on which were her minimal notes,
As soon as I finished the denim socks, I started working on hers. Today nearly the whole day was spent on them, but they are done and match the one she started. I’m so happy they are done and now have to decide on a small project for tomorrow since we will by gone most of the day.
Nice finish! Does she get them back?
Yes, I’ll give them to her. I’m hoping maybe when she sees how they finished, she’ll be encouraged as she did more than half of the first one. But I’m not holding my breath, as she is much more of a thinker than a manual “doer”
What a good friend, they look wonderful.
Thank you – I kind of got her started into it, so it’s the least I can do.
what a great friend you are!
Thank you = I just don’t like to see usable things unfinished and I think she’ll enjoy these
Oh I hope wearing those beautiful socks will change her mind… you are a good friend to finish them for her. I give my non-knitting friends socks for their birthday and anytime someone ask me to learn to knit socks I give them a pair as encouragement…it usually does the trick. happy knitting!
That would be great, but I’m not going to hold my breath. Right now she is really into non-profit organization.
Those socks turned out beautiful. She is lucky to have such a good friend in you. You are such as fast knitter.
Thank you – not especially fast, but dedicated to getting these finished. Happy Easter!
