updates

No doubt, you have heard about the new General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), that goes into effect May 25, 2018. To help comply with GDPR consent requirements, we need to confirm that you would like to receive content from us.

If you do not confirm that you want to continue to receive posts from Patchwork Times, in order to comply with the new regulations, your name will be removed from the subscription list. I hate to do this but it seems necessary.

I hope that you love receiving my posts and will continue to subscribe. If you’d like to continue hearing from us, please update your subscription settings.

Doesn’t that apply to those who are living in the EU? I understand that the rule only applies to those living in Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom.

I live in Washington state. But, I wonder if the rule applies to those whose blogs or newsletters originate in the EU; but, are sent to recipients outside of the EU?

Maybe it is not that complicated. As far as I know the US has no such rule and probably does not have plans to implement such a rule in the foreseeable future.

I have no idea how to update my subscription, and I love reading your updates. I also haven’t heard of this Regulation.

  3. I definitely want to keep getting your posts! It makes my day when I see one in my inbox!
