Here is the front that I created and a panel I had that I could use for the back.

Our middle daughter is having a birthday Sunday.   She has several cats plus is very animal oriented.   I saw a picture of a bag similar to this and knew she would like it.  Then she told me that her purse was stolen 2 weeks ago, though it didn’t have much in it.  She uses the bus for transportation so a bag seemed like a good idea.

This has taken most of the day, because I made it up as I went along and the cats were a challenge.   I also wanted to use the panel on the back, so sized it accordingly.  It is fully lined with a 8″ inside pocket that has a bit of elastic in the top of it.   I sewed the pocket into a side for pencils etc and then the larger side.  The bag measures about 15″ square with a 3.5″ bottom.
