About Us

billnsharon

Married to my husband for over 50 years and raising 7 children has given me the time to work with many animals and sewing projects. We live on a mini farm in the Pacific Northwest with just 10 acres and a  few fiber animals who now include our Great Pyrenees – another fiber animal.

As the children grew, we spent a lot of time in 4H and added skills.

Having learned to knit as a child, I became interested in  spinning some of the fibers grown here. We started with milk goats, then  sheep, then added Angora goats and rabbits and even a Jersey milk cow.  During this time, we have also been entertained by some non fiber animals – the obligatory chickens, geese, ducks, and turkeys plus alpacas .  Now we’re back down to ducks, geese, chickens, Cormo and Shetland sheep, and dogs.

When the children were grown, I learned to quilt.  Now  I want to work with and share many of the skills I’ve acquired.

Since our diet is plant-based, we are learning to grow much of our food.  So from time to time, I’ll be sharing that with you as well.

Also I will be in the near future, I will be adding some pages with photos of our sheep as well as some fleeces for sale and eventually some yarn.
